The active involvement of our SPEED Advisory Council Chairman, Adjunct Professor Dato’ Dr Tan Yew Chong, in the recently concluded Malaysia-China Summit 2024 (held from 17–19 December 2024) stands as a testament to visionary leadership and commitment.
With the theme “Prosperity Beyond 50,” the summit commemorated the 50th Anniversary of Malaysia-China Diplomatic Relations, celebrating a remarkable legacy of achievements in diplomacy, trade, economic collaboration, educational exchange, cultural understanding, and people-to-people connections.
Endorsed by the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI), this exclusive international trade and investment exposition was the largest platform for fostering future-focused trade and investment opportunities. It aimed to strengthen ties and unlock new avenues for collaboration between Malaysia, China, ASEAN, and the global economy.
Dato’ Dr Tan, the visionary force behind this prestigious summit, not only played a key role in bringing it to fruition but also participated actively in the Leadership Conference, a central highlight of the 3-day event. The summit featured a distinguished lineup of speakers, including:
