The Future-Ready ESG 2025 Conference, themed “Local Implementation, Regional Integration, Global Transformation,” concluded successfully on 21 June 2025, bringing together policymakers, industry leaders, academics, and sustainability advocates from across Malaysia and the region.

The full-day event was jointly organised by the Centre for Environmental Sustainability and Water Security (IPASA) of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), the School of Professional and Executive Education Development (SPEED) at Asia e University (AeU), Intuition, and MAB Academy. It served as a collaborative platform for advancing ESG through dialogue, innovation, and actionable insights.

Highlights included welcome address by UTM Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr Mohd Shafry Mohd Rahim and AeU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr Noor Raihan Ab. Hamid, followed by a Special Address from H.E. Orla Tunney, Ambassador of Ireland to Malaysia.

YBrs. Puan Nor Hasnah Badroddin, Senior Director at MITI, delivered the Keynote Address on behalf of MITI Minister YB Senator Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, focusing on Malaysia and ASEAN’s ESG leadership.

With a distinguished line-up of speakers—including Edey Suresh, Philip See, Mohd Ekmal Mohd Zazi, and Saravanan Desigamanie—and a dynamic panel led by Dato’ Dr Aliyah Karen featuring Dr John Loh, Ananda Rajah, and Nesa Albeper deRozario, the conference concluded with a powerful call for stronger ESG leadership and cross-sector collaboration.
