On 3 March 2025, the School of Professional and Executive Education Development (SPEED) at Asia e University and the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) Institute officially launched a strategic partnership to advance sustainability and workforce development in Malaysia’s manufacturing sector.
The partnership was officially launched by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Ansary Ahmed, Founder President of Asia e University, and Dr. Shanmuga Vivekananda Nadarajan, General Manager of FMMI. This collaboration aims to drive industry growth and upskilling initiatives, reinforcing Malaysia’s commitment to a sustainable, future-ready manufacturing sector.

This includes structured training, certification programmes, and high-impact ESG initiatives, alongside the development of industry-relevant micro-credential training and capacity-building programmes to enhance workforce readiness.
Head of SPEED, Philip Lim, provided an insightful overview of the MYM-ESG initiative during the launch event, outlining its objectives, impact, and the opportunities it presents for Malaysian manufacturers.
Additionally, the event marked a significant milestone with the unveiling of the official logo for the Malaysian Manufacturers ESG & Sustainability Growth (MYM-ESG) initiative. The logo serves as a symbol of the initiative’s commitment to equipping Malaysian manufacturers with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to embrace ESG principles, drive sustainable growth, and strengthen industry competitiveness in the global market.
