SPEED is honoured to be part of the high-profile Asia Regional Consultation Workshop on Micro-Credentials, held on 14–15 April 2025 in Kuala Lumpur. The workshop, themed “Developing a Commonwealth Credit Transfer Framework: Micro-credentials in a digital age”, was jointly organised by the Commonwealth of Learning (COL) and Asia e University (AeU).
This strategic event convenes over 30 influential leaders across Asia to collaboratively develop a Commonwealth Credit Transfer Framework for Micro-Credentials
Among the distinguished attendees were Prof. Peter Scott (President and CEO, COL), Dato’ Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shatar bin Sabran (CEO, Malaysian Qualifications Agency), Prof. Dato’ Dr. Ansary Ahmed (Founder President, AeU), and Dr. Ahmed Mohamed (Minister of State for Education, Maldives). Also present were Presidents, CEOs, Vice Chancellors, and Deputy Vice Chancellors from leading institutions such as Open University Malaysia (OUM), Wawasan Open University (WOU), and Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU). Senior representatives from the Ministry of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, and various quality assurance and regulatory agencies across Asia also took part.
