The partnership between the School of Professional and Executive Education Development (SPEED) and ABS Greentech reached a significant milestone with the official launch of the Certified IPM Practitioner Programme during the Closing Ceremony of the Asia Smart Farming, Food Security Exhibition and Conference (ASF 2024).
The Closing Ceremony was officiated by the Honourable Minister for Food Industry, Commodity and Regional Development Sarawak Dato’ Sri Dr. Stephen Rundi Utom, represented by the Deputy Minister Datuk Dr. Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ismail.
Philip Lim, Head of SPEED, was present to deliver a presentation detailing the certification programme’s key modules and assessment framework.
This presentation and the programme’s official launch were pivotal in promoting holistic Integrated Pest Management (IPM) as a cornerstone for smart and sustainable farming.
ASF 2024, held from 26 - 28 Nov 2024 at Universiti Putra Malaysia in Serdang, Selangor, has attracted participation from stakeholders from 26 countries.
